Job summary

Bank of China in New York is seeking a risk control professional for its Global Markets and Treasury division. You will monitor, control, and report on related risks, analyze market information and price movements, and provide timely risk analysis to management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in finance or related field and at least 2 years in financial markets, with Bloomberg familiarity and SQL/VBA/Python skills as preferred assets. English and Chinese bilingual abilities are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or banking and investment related majors.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial market business.
• Solid understanding of financial market products and risk management.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg and other platforms preferred.
• Knowledge of front-to-back operations, instruments (FX, money market, FI, IRS, Repo).
• Proficiency in SQL, VBA and Python a plus.
• CFA or FRM not required but preferred.
• Bilingual English and Chinese highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control related risks in global markets and treasury.
• Coordinate with departments to control risks in global markets and treasury.
• Investigate violations, address breaches, and document findings.
• Perform market research, analyze information and price movements, suggest risks.
• Analyze risk indicators and methods; review policy and procedures.
• Prepare periodic business and risk analysis reports and risk warnings.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or banking and investment related majors

CFA or FRM (preferred)
