Job summary

Five Star Bank is seeking a Treasury Payments Specialist to provide operational and customer support for treasury payment products, including merchant services and corporate cards. You will collaborate with Treasury Sales Officers, Operations, and branches to implement, maintain, and service these products.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 1–3 years in banking, payments, or related fields. Travel to client sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1–3 years of banking, customer service, operations, accounting, treasury management, payments, or related experience preferred.
• Experience supporting electronic banking, payment services, deposit operations, or customer service functions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding, setup, maintenance, and servicing of merchant services and corporate cards.
• Support customer implementation activities, including gathering required documentation and coordinating account setup with internal departments.
• Provide support for terminal installation and setup on an as-needed basis.
• Research and resolve payment-related issues, customer requests, and service inquiries in a timely manner.
• Process routine maintenance requests and updates for treasury-related products and services.
• Assist with monthly residual income reports for bank profitability and merchant activity optimization.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

The Treasury Payments Specialist provides operational and customer support for Treasury Solutions payment products, including merchant services and corporate cards. This position works closely with customers, Treasury Sales Officers, Operations, and branch personnel to support the implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and servicing of treasury payment products.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist with the onboarding, setup, maintenance, and servicing of merchant services and corporate cards
• Support customer implementation activities, including gathering required documentation and coordinating account setup with internal departments.
• Provide support for terminal installation and setup on an as-needed basis.
• Research and resolve payment-related issues, customer requests, and service inquiries in a timely manner.
• Process routine maintenance requests and updates for treasury-related products and services.
• Assist with monthly residual income reports for bank profitability and merchant activity optimization
• Participate in customer training sessions and provide support materials to assist clients in utilizing Merchant services and corporate cards
• Travel to client sites as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience preferred
• 1-3 years of banking, customer service, operations, accounting, treasury management, payments, or related experience preferred.
• Experience supporting electronic banking, payment services, deposit operations, or customer service functions is a plus.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is in regular communication, is required to use various tools or objects, and have the mobility to move about the office. The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves objects up to 25 pounds.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although occasional out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. Employee must possess a valid driver’s license and transportation to visit other branches and client sites.
