The ideal candidate will be proficient in all the fundamental areas of treasury management including: cash and liquidity management, balance sheet optimization, banking partnerships, treasury operations and technology, as well as financial planning and reporting.

This role will lead a team of 10-12 professionals across the US, EMEA, and APAC regions and will play a pivotal role in managing our Intercompany Bank. Success in this role will require strong technical acumen, exceptional leadership capabilities, and the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders. This role will report to the Treasurer and is fully remote or able to work from any of our US offices.

  2. Team Management: Support the development of the existing team and hiring open positions including career development and succession planning along with cross-training and redundancy.
  3. Asset Based Lending: Lead operations for our lending activities including warehouse lines of credit across multiple geographies and investor cash operations.
  4. Treasury Banking Lead: Work cross-functionally to optimize the cost-of-capital, balance sources of financing for corporate purposes as well as product and lending needs - structuring, negotiating, and executing financing arrangements. Implementation and management of Block’s Irish Intercompany bank.
  5. Banking Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other financial partners. Negotiate banking services and fees to optimize costs. Ensure seamless execution of banking transactions.
  6. Financial Planning and Reporting: Prepare and present treasury-related reports to executive leadership and the board.
You Have:
  1. 12-15+ years of experience in corporate treasury, banking, or financial management roles, preferably within a fintech or financial services company.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
  3. Professional certifications such as CTP, CPA, or CFA are highly desirable.
  4. Experience in a banking role, consumer/business lending.
  5. Strong knowledge of treasury management systems, financial modeling, and cash management tools.
  6. Proven experience in treasury operations, balance sheet optimization and risk mitigation strategies.
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience presenting to executive leadership.
  8. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and lead cross-functional projects.
