Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Global Credit, Global Convertible, Volatility & Capital Structure Arbitrage, Event-Driven Investing, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets Trading, and Global Quantitative Trading.

Job Title: Treasury Operations Associate - Repo & Fixed Income (US)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage fixed income cash and repurchase agreement settlement processes, including confirming trade settlements, coordinating pair-offs, and ensuring alignment across internal and external systems.
  • Ensure accurate trade flow across internal systems, our administrator, and downstream to fixed income clearing brokers.
  • Coordinate closely with the front office, clearing brokers, and other counterparties to support repurchase agreement trade lifecycle events.
  • Manage account setup and onboarding for new repo counterparties.
  • Reconcile positions and transactions across internal systems.
  • Monitor and resolve trade fails, escalating issues as appropriate and producing daily and monthly failed trade reports with root cause analyses.
  • Oversee U.S. and foreign bill pledging processes, including monitoring maturities, rolling bonds, and ensuring accurate settlement.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and propose solutions to improve workflow and automation.
  • Support transition to self-clearing by contributing to system/process buildout.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in securities clearing, with a strong focus on U.S. Treasury (FED) and repo settlement workflows.
  • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle and settlement mechanics across multiple asset classes, including structured products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, especially for reconciliations and exception tracking.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Advent Geneva or similar portfolio accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of corporate actions and how they affect trade settlements and positions.
  • Familiarity with trade affirmation platforms, PB account structures, and repo trade matching protocols.
  • Prior involvement in process improvement or automation initiatives within operations.
