Job description

A well-established, global marketing and distribution enterprise specializing in industrial inputs, crop nutrients, and agricultural supply chain solutions is seeking a hands-on Treasury Manager. Serving as the senior Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will take full day-to-day execution ownership of core global treasury operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Treasury, this individual contributor role optimizes global liquidity, complex foreign exchange (FX) hedging, structured trade finance (Letters of Credit), customer credit risk, and corporate marine cargo insurance across international supply chain networks. While this position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, you will work closely with cross-functional partners and operational teams to drive daily cadence.

Core Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain rolling 13-week and long-range cash flow forecasting models. Oversee global bank account structures, cross-border zero-balance accounts (ZBAs), cash pooling, and international sweep mechanisms.
  • Track balance sheet and transactional foreign currency exposures. Execute approved spot, forward, and derivative hedging transactions across multi-currency corridors (USD, CAD, AUD, EUR, and emerging markets), reporting hedge effectiveness to leadership.
  • Act as the internal SME for structured trade finance—overseeing the issuance, negotiation, and execution of Import/Export Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby LCs, and Bank Guarantees. Partner with commercial banks, logistics, and legal to optimize trade credit lines and align LC terms with commercial shipping schedules.
  • Enforce corporate credit policies, evaluate customer financial strength, establish credit limits, and manage trade credit insurance policies to mitigate counterparty risk.
  • Manage annual corporate insurance renewals (focusing on Marine Cargo, Transit, Property/Casualty, D&O, and Cyber) and oversee claims processing.
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CTP, CFA, or MBA preferred.
  • 6+ years of progressive Treasury Operations experience within an international trading, raw materials, agriculture, bulk commodity, or global distribution enterprise.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in international Letters of Credit (Documentary LCs, SBLCs), trade documentation (Bills of Lading), and cross-border FX risk management/derivative execution.
  • Strong self-starter capable of managing high-volume international cash flows and complex financial risks in a fast-paced environment.
