Job summary

South Jersey Industries (SJI) offers a paid Treasury internship as part of its Ignite Internship Program. Heavily focused on cash and liquidity planning, interns will collaborate with the CFO and Treasury team in a hybrid, 11-week summer program.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Finance/Accounting/Biz/Econ degrees with Fall 2026 or later graduation, and any student is welcome to apply for consideration.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or similar, with a graduation date of Fall 2026 or later
• The ideal candidate would be a rising Junior, Senior, or Master’s student, however all students are welcome for consideration

Responsibilities

• Support the development of short-term and medium-term cash forecasts for liquidity planning purposes
• Leverage established methods and technology to assist in preparing reports on the company’s debt portfolio
• Assist in daily cash positioning and execution of borrowings
• Prepare and collaborate on a cross-functional project with the opportunity to present to the SJI Executive Leadership Team
• Regular meetings with assigned mentor and various organizational leaders to discuss goals and professional development

Position Summary

As part of the comprehensive internship program, interns will participate in events which help them build a strong network within the SJI community and with fellow interns. A career in Treasury at South Jersey Industries will provide the opportunity to encompass all treasury activities including cash and banking, capital and liquidity planning, standardization of policies and processes and new treasury solutions. Treasury team members are responsible for collaborating with the CFO, Treasurer, and other team members to oversee SJI’s financial resources and structural balance sheet positioning. • Availability to work a hybrid schedule based out of our Folsom, NJ office, Monday through Friday during daytime business hours

Compensation Range:

$18 - 28

We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring equitability compensation for all employees. The pay range for this position reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits, bonuses, or other forms of compensation that might be part of the total compensation package. The specific salary offered will be based on a candidate’s qualifications, education, and experience.
