Job description

Job Description

Help influence real-time trading decisions by making capital, liquidity and balance sheet trade-offs clear and actionable. In this role, you'll partner closely with trading leadership to improve pricing discipline, optimize resource usage, and support growth within risk appetite. You'll translate enterprise treasury priorities into practical incentives for desks and client activity. You'll also lead a team and help build analytics and tools that make decisions faster and more transparent.

As an Executive Director in the Markets Treasury team, you will be the senior treasury partner to trading leadership, advising on how capital, liquidity, leverage and balance sheet are priced, allocated and used. You'll build trusted relationships across desks and enterprise treasury partners, helping us make better decisions in-the-moment and over the long term. You'll lead a team and collaborate with risk, quantitative analytics and technology partners to modernize how financial resources are measured and delivered to decision-makers.

Job responsibilities
  • Advise trading desk heads and senior business managers on capital, liquidity, leverage and balance sheet impacts, anticipating needs and surfacing trade-offs early.
  • Partner with enterprise treasury stakeholders to translate firmwide priorities into desk-level incentives for pricing, activity and growth.
  • Influence sensitive cross-desk decisions, balancing business objectives with risk appetite, and represent markets treasury in senior governance forums.
  • Provide timely transparency on key resource costs and constraints (for example, risk‑weighted assets, leverage, liquidity requirements and systemic surcharge drivers).
  • Analyze desk profitability and resource efficiency, identifying opportunities to optimize returns and improve resource usage.
  • Own the limits, indicators and escalation framework, keeping it aligned to risk appetite and business plans.
  • Deliver marginal trade and ``what‑if'' analysis to support pricing decisions, limit usage and new business economics.
  • Advise on clearing, collateral and liquidity management topics with material resource impact.
  • Build scalable decision‑support tooling and reporting in partnership with analytics, quantitative and technology teams.
  • Track regulatory and competitive developments and support internal advocacy and response efforts.
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing team through clear priorities, coaching and accountability.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 10 years of experience in markets treasury, financial resource management, line‑of‑business treasury, trading, or a closely related function.
  • Demonstrated ability to build senior relationships with trading leadership and influence decisions without direct authority.
  • In-depth knowledge of financing and derivatives businesses, including pricing and contractual terms (for example, valuation adjustments and credit support arrangements).
  • Strong working knowledge of capital, liquidity and leverage frameworks and their impact on markets businesses (for example, risk‑weighted assets, leverage ratio, liquidity coverage, net stable funding, initial margin, and internal liquidity stress metrics).
  • Experience with marginal trade analysis, deal pricing and profitability measurement for markets businesses.
  • Strong analytical capability with proven ability to translate complex drivers into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills, including producing executive‑ready materials and presenting to senior audiences.
  • Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • Experience with data querying and visualization tools (for example, SQL and business intelligence dashboards).
  • Experience with cloud‑based data and analytics platforms.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence or automation approaches to analytics workflows.
  • Proven ability to build scalable self‑service tools for senior decision‑makers.
