Job summary

CVR Energy, Inc. is seeking a Treasury & Credit Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting our treasury and credit functions. The role offers exposure to daily cash reconciliations, cash forecasting and Know Your Customer onboarding in a dynamic setting.

You will collaborate with Treasury, Credit, Billing, and Accounting teams while developing financial analysis and problem-solving skills in a real-world environment.

Qualifications

  • College student pursuing accounting or finance in junior or senior year.
  • GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Internship experience is preferred and coursework or work experience in accounting, financial systems, or credit analysis is desirable.
  • Ability to meet daily deadlines and work independently.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

  • Performing daily cash reconciliations across multiple company accounts.
  • Reporting daily cash positions and assisting with cash forecasting.
  • Applying customer receipts in Oracle.
  • Assisting with Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation and onboarding for new counterparties.
  • Supporting credit reviews and analysis for new and existing customers.
  • Contributing to accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
  • Ensuring cash flow and receivables are properly tracked and reconciled, and supporting risk management through credit reviews and forecasting.
  • Exposure to complex organizational structures and Oracle financial systems.
  • Real-world experience in problem-solving, financial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Position Summary

The Treasury & Credit Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting our Treasury and Credit department.

Education Requirements
  • College student studying accounting or finance who is entering into their Junior or Senior year at an accredited College or University
  • Cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Experience Requirements
  • Strong written, verbal communication; and presentation skills.
  • Previous internships experience
  • Coursework or work experience in accounting, financial systems, or credit analysis
  • Collaborating with teams in Treasury, Credit, Billing, and Accounting to research and resolve discrepancies
  • Ability to meet daily deadlines and work independently
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Out of the box thinking, problem solving, relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written
Major Accountabilities

  • Real-world experience in problem-solving, financial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
