Treasury Clerk
Core Responsibilities
Responsibilities described in this section are fundamental to success in this position.
- Prepare bank flooring payoffs daily
- Prepare bank flooring cash injections daily
- Post daily funding notices for CIT transactions
- Facilitate and coordinate Positive Pay uploads and exception research
- Coordinate the centralized wire account and distribute to the proper companies
- Assist and participate in the monthly general ledger closing process, including balancing various AR reports and solving any cash-related discrepancy
- Assist accounting team with monthly bank reconciliation research items, as needed
- Facilitate efforts to automate manual processes and integrate external applications with Company’s systems to recognize optimal efficiencies and savings
- Become subject matter expert in the Banking online systems and training
- Participate and assist in evaluation of cash management services, as necessary
- Evaluate and facilitate proper banking controls and make recommendations surrounding the control environment
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies related to back accounts
- Enforce safety precautions specific to work area.
- Uses personal device to provide an additional layer of security for company network and site access through multi-factor authentication.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
The requirements listed below are the minimum degrees, certifications, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of this position.
- Previous automotive accounting, customer service, collection, or accounting experience.
- 3-5 years of work experience preferably in Finance/Treasury operations
- Previous cash management experience using systems for efficiencies
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
- Valid driver’s license without restrictions that affects your ability to operate company owned vehicle(s) and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
