Job summary

AECOM Hunt seeks an Accountant to join the Finance team focusing on treasury and cash management. You will oversee cash balances, execute wire transfers, and manage inter-account funding while maintaining relationships with JV partners and AP firms.

The role requires a BA/BS in Accounting/Finance and 4+ years in treasury or related fields, with strong proficiency in banking portals, ERP systems, and DocuSign. Hybrid work in Phoenix, AZ is offered.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Accounting/Finance or related curriculum, 4 years of treasury, cash management, or accounting experience or equivalent
• Experience with banking systems, wire transfers, and cash flow management is required
• Strong understanding of treasury operations, cash flow management, and investment strategies
• Proficiency in financial software and tools (ERP systems, banking portals, DocuSign)
• Ability to read, interpret and manage financial records
• Experience with financial controls and governance
• Detail-oriented financial review and reconciliation experience
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Deadline management and prioritization
• Process improvement mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work in the office in AZ as required
• Experience with CMIC is a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cash management activities and liquidity
• Execute wire transfers and inter-account transfers for timely funding
• Invest excess cash in mutual funds or other approved instruments
• Manage bank deposits and ensure accurate recording of transactions
• Maintain portal access for banking systems and ensure security compliance
• Collaborate with AP to manage cash outflows and timely payments
• Coordinate with third-party AP firms to streamline processes
• Create and approve documents via DocuSign
• Ensure documents are accurate and compliant with policies
• Open and manage new accounts for JV relationships
• Maintain accuracy of general ledger entries and postings
