Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a finance professional to join our commodity trading support team in Colorado. You will rotate through the Central Hedge Desk, execute futures trades to mitigate daily commodity exposure, and collaborate with Trading, Sales, Risk, and Finance to manage hedge positions and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities include reconciling daily slate positions, entering physical contracts in the ERP, producing derivatives reporting, and supporting audits and internal controls while travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience/skills appropriate to the position, compensation based on skills, abilities, and level of experience.
• Support regulatory compliance related to Board-established limits, company policies, and external regulatory frameworks.
• Knowledge of NFA, CTA, CME, MGEX, and CFTC regulations.
• Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures.
• Ability to execute futures trades, intra-market spreads, inter-commodity spreads, futures rolls, EFPs, and EFRs.
• Ability to reconcile daily slate long/short positions, day trades, physical contract activity, and customer risk positions.
• Ability to perform derivatives financial reporting and month-end close activities.
• Ability to monitor risk controls and assist with internal and external derivative audits.
• Ability to identify and lead continuous improvement opportunities.
• Travel less than 5%.

• Execute futures trades to mitigate daily commodity exposure from contracts, inventory fluctuations, and commercial activity.
• Partner with Trading, Sales, Risk, Finance teams, and external trading counterparties to manage hedge positions and compliance.
• Reconcile daily slate long/short positions before market opening.
• Reconcile top-day trades and physical contract activity after trading hours.
• Ensure physical contracts are accurately entered into the ERP.
• Analyze daily slate long/short commodity positions and explain variances and fluctuations.
• Execute intra-market spreads, inter-commodity spreads, futures rolls, EFPs, and EFRs.
• Provide Finance support for the Commodity Trading Advisor through Ardent Mills Solutions.
• Perform derivatives financial reporting, daily position reconciliation, weekly customer communication, and period-end close processes.
• Monitor risk controls and assist with internal and external derivative audits.
• Implement and maintain internal controls, regulatory compliance, Board-approved limits, metrics, and accounting procedures.
• Oversee Customer Risk Management month-end activities and their impact on business financial statements.
• Support continuous improvement and knowledge transfer across rotating team members.
• Complete assigned treasury reporting, fuel hedge program work, projects, and other responsibilities.
