Job summary

Steelcase is seeking a Treasury Analyst to support worldwide liquidity, cash forecasting, foreign exchange activities, and treasury operations. You will partner across Finance, Legal, Procurement, HR, Tax, and other functions to drive sound financial decision-making.

The role emphasizes detailed cash management, FP&A for treasury items, and maintaining a robust bank/cash infrastructure with strong controls. A hybrid work schedule and continuous learning opportunities are available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • 3+ years in a corporate finance role, with treasury experience a plus.
  • Understanding of GAAP, financial statement analysis, and cash controls.
  • Experience in gathering data and presenting it clearly, plus written summaries.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills to handle multiple projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor liquidity across locations and ensure funding for operations.
  • Execute funding and liquidity transactions.
  • Prepare daily cash and liquidity reports.
  • Forecast future cash flows.
  • Provide FP&A for treasury-related P&L items.
  • Manage subsidiary funding, intercompany loans, recapitalizations, and dividend repatriation; collaborate with local finance and global tax.
  • Maintain and optimize global bank accounts and cash infrastructure with controls.
  • Analyze FX exposures and recommend hedges; execute FX transactions and FX reporting.
  • Perform period-end treasury and financial reporting with focus on accuracy and controls.

Steelcase is seeking a Treasury Analyst to support worldwide liquidity, cash forecasting, foreign exchange activities, and treasury operations. You'll Support Meaningful Work By:

  • Supporting daily cash management activities, including:
    • Monitoring the liquidity position of various locations and helping ensure adequate funding for business operations
    • Executing transactions to support funding and liquidity activities
    • Preparing daily cash and liquidity reports
    • Forecasting future cash flows
  • Financial planning and analysis for treasury related P&L line items.
  • Managingperiodic subsidiary funding activities, including intercompany loans, recapitalizations, and dividend repatriation efforts. Conducting detailed financial analysis and partnering closely with local finance teams and the global tax team to support effective capital deployment across the organization.
  • Maintaining and optimizing the company’s global bank account and cash management infrastructure, ensuring appropriate controls, documentation, and operational efficiency.
  • Analyzing global foreign currency exposures and recommending risk mitigation strategies, including hedging activities, while executing foreign exchange transactions and preparing FX reporting to support financial close and treasury operations.
  • Performing period-end treasury and financial reporting activities with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal controls.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • 3+ years in a corporate finance role, with treasury experience a plus
  • Proven understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statement analysis, and cash control environment
  • Reporting experience - both in gathering and displaying data visually, and in written summarization of the salient points
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills to achieve objectives and meet deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining effective control environments.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • CTP, CPA, MBA or similar professional designation
  • Knowledge of treasury in a multinational company
  • Experience with treasury systems and various e-banking platforms
