The Treasury Accountant L2 will be responsible for the day-to-day cash and debt processing and accounting for all entities under NTT Global Data Centers Americas. This will include opening new bank accounts, maintaining company’s banking and debt information, scheduling electronic payments, reconciling accounts, researching, and forecasting to ensure sufficient working capital.

What you'll be doing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages, maintains, and enhances daily cash management including reconciliations among all systems involved
  • Daily cash movement and applications entries into the accounting and banking systems
  • Monitoring and directing approvals for cash movements in accordance with company policy and controls
  • Responsible for significant portions of the cash and debt forecasting on a weekly basis
  • Tracks all intercompany open balances and schedules settlements between entities
  • Schedules all wire payments, including affiliate debt interest payments
  • Transacts movements that meet the requirements for short-term liquidity needs
  • Maintains listing of all company bank accounts with all the related information
  • Works with parent treasury group to open or close accounts as needed, including the point person for KYC activities and documentation
  • Company credit card spending analysis, accounting entries, and reconciliation
  • Manages large transactions when payments exceed daily limits and coordinates with Treasury Manager and team
  • Create and update the Treasury responsibility matrix including identifying key backup approvers and ensuring they have the proper access available in all systems
  • Maintains all debt covenant calculations, as needed, and ratios and communicates those to Finance leadership through monthly reporting
  • Documents compliance with parent company treasury policy
  • Clears daily cash transactions in Oracle and performs cash reconciliations
  • Engages in various special projects such as system enhancements and business integrations
  • Performs other accounting/finance duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • General knowledge of financial accounting and banking terminology
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proficient with computers and comfortability with learning various accounting/banking software
  • Experience with Oracle or other large ERP system preferred
  • Proficient use of other Microsoft programs such as Word, Power Point and Outlook
  • Able to be highly confidential
  • Comfortable knowledge of US GAAP and Accounting Principles, including internal controls and segregation of duties
  • Able to work in a team environment and can work independently
  • Manages stress and/or fast-paced environment effectively
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited school.
  • At least 5 years of previous work experience in a fast-paced role related to a treasury/accounting environment
  • Strong understanding and previous experience with cash reconciliations
  • Advanced Excel skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending
  • Able to hear and speak into a telephone.
  • Close visual work on a computer terminal.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Able to climb a ladder and work on a raised platform.

WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • This position is expected to be remote for the near future with an occasional need to be on-site in a shared work environment
  • Extensive daily usage of workstation or computer.
  • Some travel as required.

This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.

NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $74,400 - $106,100.

All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
