Job summary

The Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City is seeking a public finance professional to manage the county treasury division, including property tax administration, delinquent properties management, and the motor vehicles division across three locations countywide.

Qualifications

• Five years progressively responsible administrative experience, with supervisory experience required.

• Oversee property tax collections for all taxing districts of more than $500 million and management of delinquent taxes and property tax sale; oversight of the motor vehicles division with three locations countywide.
• Administer investments of city and county revenues in collaboration with the CFO; provide oversight to treasury functions as well as special projects.

Significant responsibilities include property tax collections for all taxing districts of more than $500 million and management of delinquent taxes and property tax sale as well as oversight of the motor vehicles division with three locations countywide. Additionally, key position for administration of the investments of the city and county revenues in collaboration with the CFO. This position provides oversight to treasury functions as well as special projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or a closely related field, and five years progressively responsible administrative experience, with a strong preference for working in a public agency. Supervisory experience required.

Salary Range: $35.78- $55.90/hr.
