Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island is seeking a Part Time - Evening Tray Delivery Aide to join our team. You will deliver meal trays to patient units, distribute menus, and collect dirty trays for warewashing in a patient-centered environment.

This role requires a high school diploma, strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions. Preference is given to candidates with 1–2 years in food service and basic computer skills.

Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Tray Delivery Aide - Part Time - Evening.

In this role, the successful candidate Delivers meal trucks to patient units and trays to patients, distributes menus to patients, and collects dirty trays for warewashing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs other duties as assigned
• Prints census sheets and delivers trays to patients on assigned units. Reads patient menus to confirm room number, diet, and date of birth.
• Retrieves dirty or finished trays for warewashing.
• Distributes appropriate menus to patients in advance of mealtime for selection.
• Uses proper scripting techniques in all interactions with patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a High School or GED. Strong communication (both oral and written), and customer service skills. Ability read well and write legibly. Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

1- 2 years In Food Service or Tray Passing. Basic computer skills.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $24.60 - $24.60 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
