Traveling Wind Turbine Technician II - 100% Travel - US Nationwide (Jefferson City, MO, US)

This position is remote requiring 100% travel, hiring applicants from anywhere within the United States. This is an hourly paid position. With travel, overtime, and other supplemental earnings, resource technicians may have the ability to earn over $100,000 per year.

Responsibilities
  • Travel 100% of the time, including working overtime and variable schedules to meet business needs.
  • Promote safety by modeling safe acts, adhering to safety standards, identifying risks, and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Perform wind turbine maintenance and installation tasks, operate tools, and document work in company systems like SAP.
  • Gather information on turbine performance, diagnose issues, and implement solutions up to an intermediate level.
  • Follow troubleshooting processes, use diagnostic tools, and complete tasks with limited supervision.
  • Support team environment, mentor lower-level staff, and promote collaboration.
  • Interface with customers and respond to inquiries professionally.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred: post-secondary education or two years of wind industry experience, especially in electrical work and reading electrical drawings.
  • Proficient with power tools and safety protocols.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport.
  • Attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, and ability to collaborate.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to interpret drawings and schematics.
