Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services in New Jersey invites a Safety-conscious trainee to join our traveling Pole Inspector program. You will learn inspection procedures, safety protocols, and industry standards to assess wooden utility poles and related equipment.

The role requires extensive travel, working outdoors in all weather, lifting up to 40 lbs, and maintaining records while adhering to regulatory codes. A valid driver’s license and background/drug checks are required.

Qualifications

Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Must pass criminal background check and a drug test.
Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally.
Able to work outdoors in all weather, lifting up to 40 lbs.
Demonstrate leadership to ensure safe operations.
Professional attitude representing the organization.

Responsibilities

Undergo training to understand basics of pole inspections.
Learn inspection procedures to evaluate pole condition and signs of deterioration.
Assist in identifying issues and maintenance planning.
Complete inspection records and report to regulations.
Collect field data and perform daily/weekly reporting.
Maintain records on tools, electronics, vehicles, equipment.
Adhere to safety regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
