Job summary

Northern Lights Locating and Inspection, Inc is seeking a Utility Locator in McDade, TX. The role involves locating underground utilities for clients, using maps, GIS data and locating equipment, and marking locations to document work performed.

Applicants should have 2 years locator experience, be able to travel 75% or more, pass a drug screen, maintain equipment, and hold a valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a DOT physical.

Qualifications

• Know best locate practices, procedures and 811 law.
• Read and interpret utility maps and as-built drawings.
• Maintain equipment and vehicle in good condition.
• Must have valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities for clients and property owners based on 811 tickets.
• Use utility maps, as-built drawings, GIS data and locating equipment.
• Mark locations with flags/paint and document work performed and issues.
• Take photos of located utilities for each 811 ticket.
• Be prepared for on-call rotation and travel (75%+).
