Position Summary: The Universal Banker serves as the front-line client ambassador, providing a remarkable experience by understanding client transaction needs, educating clients on products, and participating in branch operations, including account management and financial services.

The role involves completing client transactions accurately, maintaining records, and proactively engaging in sales processes to deepen client relationships and promote bank products and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality service in a friendly, professional manner.
• Build rapport, identify client needs, recommend solutions, and solicit business.
• Promote bank products, services, and digital channels.
• Perform teller transactions such as deposits, payments, check cashing, and issuing money orders.
• Balance cash drawer daily, identify errors, and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle client issues efficiently.
• Assist with currency verification, deposits, ATM and vault balancing.
• Follow up on sales opportunities and participate in personal development activities.
• Refer clients to specialists when appropriate.
• Engage in promotional activities and maintain professional appearance and environment.
• Follow the bank’s mission and values in all interactions.

Other Duties: Additional responsibilities may be assigned. Mentoring and flexible scheduling are expected.

Skills and Experience: Proficiency in PC software, attention to detail, teamwork, problem-solving, and client consultation skills. Experience with bank systems and training new associates is preferred.

Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; banking experience is a plus but not required; customer service and cash handling experience desirable.

Travel Expectations: The role involves daily travel within our community footprint, with flexibility required for locations in Porter County and surrounding areas.
