Job summary

Morgan Corp. is seeking a Traveling Underground Utilities Excavator Operator to support our utility crews in Charlotte, NC. You will operate excavators, ensure proper trenching, backfilling, and safety on site.

This role requires travel to project sites across the southeastern U.S., flexible hours including weekends, and the ability to perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment. Join a team focused on reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience operating excavators on utility crews.
• Must be able to climb in and out of equipment unassisted.
• Must have and maintain a valid drivers license.
• Frequently lift 20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to travel to southeastern U.S. project sites as needed.
• Ability to have a flexible work schedule, including overtime and weekends as needed.

We are currently searching for a Utility Excavator Operator to work with our utility crews in Charleston, SC.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure work is excavated to the proper requirements, depth/grade, etc.
• Backfill pipe
• Comply with all company and site specific policies and procedures
• Safe and efficient operation of equipment
• Perform routine inspections, safety walk-arounds, and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
