Job summary

Tradesmen International is hiring Traveling Turbine Technicians for projects in the Orlando, FL area. This first shift role offers a pay rate up to $36/hour based on experience, plus $175/day per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site.

You will inspect turbines, disassemble and reassemble during outages, align rotating components, and assist with startups and testing. Join a team focused on safety and craftsmanship, with opportunities to travel to power plants for outages and emergency

Qualifications

• Experience as Traveling Turbine Technician on site outages.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and manuals.
• Willingness to travel to power plants for outages and service work.

Responsibilities

• Inspect turbine components for wear, damage, vibration, leaks, or abnormal operating conditions.
• Disassemble and reassemble turbine during maintenance outages.
• Align shafts, bearings, couplings, and other rotating equipment.
• Take precise measurements and record clearances and tolerances.
• Install and service bearings, seals, valves, rotors, diaphragms, and other turbine components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and assist with root-cause investigations.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per Mitsubishi procedures and plant requirements.
• Use micrometers and dial indicators, laser alignment equipment, torque tools, and other measurement instruments.
• Assist with turbine startup, shutdown, testing, and commissioning.
• Read mechanical drawings and technical documentation; work with diverse maintenance personnel.

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Traveling Turbine Technicians for projects located in the Orlando, FL area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $36/hour based on experience plus $175/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:

• Inspect turbine components for wear, damage, vibration, leaks, or abnormal operating conditions
• Perform turbine disassembly and reassembly during maintenance outages
• Align shafts, bearings, couplings, and other rotating equipment
• Take precise measurements and recording clearances, tolerances, and component conditions
• Install and service bearings, seals, valves, rotors, diaphragms, and other turbine components
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and assisting with root-cause investigations
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to Mitsubishi procedures and plant requirements
• Use precision tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, laser alignment equipment, torque tools, and measurement instruments
• Assist with turbine startup, shutdown, testing, and commissioning
• Read mechanical drawings, turbine manuals, work instructions, and technical documentation
• Work with electricians, engineers, welders, millwrights, operators, and other maintenance personnel
• Follow strict OSHA, plant safety, lockout/tagout, confined-space, rigging, and lifting procedures
• Travel to power plants or industrial facilities for scheduled outages and emergency service work
