Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with FE exam for TE III per board requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related degree and two years of professional experience for TE II.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related degree for TE I.
• Must have passed or be able to pass the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
• Class D driver's license required for travel to projects and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Manage small and medium construction projects and act as lead inspector on large projects.
• Design projects and prepare plan documents for district designed projects.
• Fill in for project engineer in their absence; conduct preliminary surveys, bridge deck evaluations, construction surveying and materials testing.
• Travel throughout Western North Dakota; on-site work in summer; may be based in Williston, Dickinson, Minot, or Bismarck.
