Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management, and six years of work experience performing field engineering.
• Or an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, and twelve years of work experience performing field engineering.
• Work experience must include large project oversight and management of staff and budgets.
• Class D License.

Responsibilities

• Be the main point of contact for landowners, utility companies, developers, cities, counties, and others on permits.
• Review permit applications and applicable regulations to approve or deny requests.
• Review permitted work for compliance and document permitted work in district procedures.
• Conduct field reviews of State and County projects and ensure compliance with standards.
• Conduct record reviews of State and County projects including materials certifications and pay estimates.
• Complete plan sets and environmental documents for preventive maintenance projects under the direction of a professional engineer.
• Manage district staffing, finals checklist and design tracking data.
• Create project folders in TEAMS SharePoint.
• Attend required trainings and meetings and provide input on design changes.
• Assist with roadway data entry and run construction projects as project manager for small projects.
