Job summary

Nextlink is seeking a Field Operations – Tower technician to install, inspect, repair and maintain wireless tower equipment across our service area. The role requires climbing towers up to 500 feet, performing electrical and communications work, and ensuring safety procedures are followed.

The position involves extensive travel and irregular hours, with three weeks away and one week home as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Working knowledge of basic hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Climb and maintain towers up to 500 ft.
• Install, replace and repair antenna systems equipment.
• Run and manage power, ground, fiber, Cat5e and coaxial cables.
• Complete JSA before each climb and document outcomes.
• Maintain safety on site and complete safety training.
