Job summary

EquipmentShare in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Traveling Technician (Facilities Maintenance) to support and maintain our fleet of restroom trailers and facility units. You will manage work orders, track service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues across a variety of trailers and equipment.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, a high school diploma, and a valid state driver’s license. Expect 70–85% travel, on-site work, and opportunities for growth within a fast-paced, mission-driven

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Active state driver's license.
  • Strong mechanical/repair knowledge for plumbing, carpentry, and facilities.
  • Experience with portable toilet facilities or modular buildings is a plus.
  • Construction knowledge is preferred.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position with drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Create, assign, and monitor work orders; track service intervals.
  • Order parts and diagnose issues using data from multiple makes/models.
  • Perform general carpentry tasks and minor plumbing repairs.
  • Install and maintain portable bathroom trailers and facilities.
  • Manage paperwork and documentation of work performed.

We’re hiring a Traveling Technician (Facilities Maintenance) that can be based out of Milwaukee, WI, and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and provide comprehensive facilities support. You will handle general maintenance and repair for a variety of customer and company‑owned facilities (Restroom Trailers, Tool Trailers) and help us build the future of construction.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and offers overtime pay after working 40 hours. (This role is subject to on‑call scheduling with additional compensation provided). 70-85% Travel

Primary Responsibilities

As a traveling technician, you’ll use our tech to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues faster by pulling data from hundreds of makes and models. With real‑time information at your fingertips, you can work smarter, not harder.

  • Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment and maintaining facilities.
  • Perform general carpentry tasks, including structural repairs to trailers, cabinetry adjustments, and door/hardware maintenance.
  • Execute minor plumbing repairs, such as fixing leaks, unclogging lines, and replacing fixtures within portable units and restroom trailers.
  • Perform installs and preventative maintenance on a variety of rental bathroom trailers.
  • Use technology (laptops, tablets, and mobile phone) comfortably to manage work orders.
  • Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed in a complete and timely manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of OSHA requirements (preferred).
  • Participate in year‑round company‑provided OEM training.

Required Skills/Abilities
