Job summary

CSI of the Southeast is seeking an experienced Technical Trainer & Field Training Specialist who is passionate about developing people and building technical expertise. This role designs and delivers hands-on and classroom training for commercial low voltage systems, including access control, CCTV, networking, and structured cabling.

Travel throughout the United States to conduct training, provide field coaching, evaluate technician performance, and ensure teams deliver quality workmanship,

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in commercial low voltage installation or service.
  • Experience training, mentoring, or leading field technicians preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Structured Cabling, Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion systems, and Network Infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt training to different learning styles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
  • Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites and branch locations 65–75% of the time.
  • Deliver classroom and hands-on training to technicians and internal staff.
  • Ride along with technicians to evaluate installation techniques and customer interactions.
  • Develop individualized training plans based on skill levels.
  • Train on installation best practices, system commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Ensure work complies with manufacturer specs and company standards.
  • Maintain training docs and progress reports.
  • Stay current on products, technologies, and certifications.
