Hana Brands is seeking a Traveling Temp Sushi and Fresh Foods Chef to operate in a live sushi bar setting. You will roll sushi, cut produce, prepare rice, and uphold food safety standards while managing costs and waste.

This temporary assignment involves independent work, with travel arranged and paid hourly. Strong performers may gain Franchisee ownership opportunities within the Hana Brands network.

Qualificações

• Two or more years of food handling experience, plus either sushi rolling experience or a culinary degree.
• Excellent knife skills — cutting large fish for sashimi and nigiri, and prepping vegetables for sushi rolls.
• Valid food handler's card or ability to obtain one before first shift.
• English communication with customers and teammates to take orders and follow safety instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Expert in cutting, slicing and filleting different types of fish, vegetables, and produce.
• Preparing traditional Japanese sushi rice to spec, consistently, every shift.
• Preparing various types of sushi dishes according to guidelines on quality, portion size, and safety.
• Inspecting the quality of fruits, vegetables, and fish used to prepare sushi dishes.
• Ensuring a clean, safe work environment and proper waste control.
