Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution & Oversight
- Lead on-site construction operations from groundbreaking to closeout.
- Collaborate with project managers to align daily fieldwork with project scope, budget, and timelines.
- Monitor work quality and enforce compliance with project specifications and regulations.
- Prepare and submit daily reports using internal systems and client portals.
- Coordinate logistics for workforce, equipment, and subcontractors across multiple trades.
- Support punch list development and final project closeout procedures.
Site Safety & Compliance
- Promote and enforce a proactive jobsite safety culture.
- Lead safety meetings, site orientations, and toolbox talks.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA, USACE EM 385-1-1, and client-specific safety requirements.
- Develop site-specific safety and work plans in coordination with HSEQ teams.
Subcontractor & Trade Coordination
- Direct field personnel, including craft workers and subcontractors, across all phases of construction.
- Monitor and manage subcontractor performance and adherence to scope and quality expectations.
Scheduling & Progress Monitoring
- Assist in schedule development and adjust micro-schedules to meet key milestones.
- Evaluate progress and recommend solutions to avoid project delays.
- Collaborate with the project team to address challenges proactively.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 4+ years of construction experience with a general contractor (commercial, industrial, or infrastructure focus).
- Proven track record managing safety on active job sites.
- Experience coordinating multiple trades and craft workers on complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of structural design, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Comfortable managing field operations in fast-paced, change-driven environments.
- Tech-savvy: working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Procore, Adobe, or similar systems.
- Ability to travel regularly across the U.S. to support ongoing and future projects.
Highly Desired:
- Background in federal, state, or DOT projects.
- Experience with heavy civil, deep foundations, utilities, excavation, or infrastructure builds.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications or site safety credentials.
Travel Requirement: 100% travel expected (projects vary nationwide). Must be comfortable driving between job sites and working away from home for extended periods.
