Job summary

JRM Construction Management is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to supervise field operations on interior commercial and high-end renovation projects across multiple locations. You will lead a diverse field team, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure work aligns with schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

The role requires strong leadership, organizational and time-management skills, client-facing capabilities, and deep knowledge of commercial trades.

Qualifications

Minimum five years of experience as a Superintendent in interior commercial general contracting.
Proven track record managing complex projects in occupied spaces.
Willingness to travel 8–12 weeks within and out of state.
Ability to read and interpret commercial construction plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

Oversee all daily field operations to ensure site safety, construction, progress, quality, and housekeeping.
Provide guidance and direct supervision of site staff including assistants and laborers.
Manage the project schedule, including weekly two‑week look ahead.
Coordinate all subcontractors to meet project schedule and budget constraints.
Develop understanding of project strategy, commitments, milestones, and inspections.
Maintain schedule updates and communicate changes to the project team.
Run weekly project and subcontractor meetings; manage RFIs and resolutions.
Ensure compliance with design/specifications and high quality standards.
Foster professional subcontractor relations and timely punch list closeouts.
Support close out processes and warranty responses with the project manager.
