Job summary

Southpaw Solutions LLC in South Carolina seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial projects. You will ensure safety, quality, and coordination of all work at the jobsite, partnering with the Project Manager to hit schedules and budgets.

You will mentor field staff, coordinate subcontractors, read plans and specs, and maintain detailed schedules. Travel is required for full-time work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Commercial construction field experience.
• Direct supervisory experience related to subcontractor management.
• Previous superintendent/foreman experience in commercial construction.
• Ability to read plans and specs.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel full-time.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all field operations including safety, quality and coordination at the jobsite.
• Responsible for field activities and implementing the job site's safety program.
• Partner with the Project Manager to develop schedules and meet deadlines within budget.
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents and other field personnel.

The Superintendent is responsible for:

• All field operations, including safety, quality and proper coordination of all work at the jobsite.
• You will be responsible for all field activities associated with the project, including ultimate responsibility for implementation of the safety program for the job site, supervision of all field construction work by subcontractors and self-performed work.
• You will share responsibility with the Project Manager for developing the project schedule, and ensuring that the project is built on time, within budget, and according to company policies and procedures.
• You will manage and mentor Assistant Superintendents and other field personnel.
