With 5+ years of superintendent experience, you will coordinate client walk-throughs, oversee planning, and maintain project documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction.
• Experience in commercial renovation, retail buildout, fit-out, or tenant improvement.
• Ability to independently manage projects with minimal oversight.
• Strong subcontractor management experience.
• Understanding of sequencing, scheduling, and field coordination.
• Valid driver's license.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Comfortable working directly with clients and within occupied facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout.
• Serve as field leader and primary site representative for the company.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and material deliveries.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved.
• Conduct daily site walks, quality inspections, and safety audits.

• Review plans, specifications, and construction documents.

• Coordinate owner/client walkthroughs and punch list activities.

Essential Skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• OSHA certifications, including OSHA 30.

• College degree preferred.

Work Environment

This role requires travel assignments as needed, with potential evening or night work depending on project schedules. Typically, you will manage one project at a time. The company provides a structured onboarding and training program, including pairing new hires with experienced field personnel. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portage, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $43.27/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
