Job summary

Accelevation is seeking a Structural Steel Installer to build and install the framing, supports, and containment systems for mission‑critical data center infrastructure across the United States.

You will read drawings, align and secure members, and operate common industry tools while adhering to safety standards. The role involves substantial travel and working at heights in diverse project environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two or more years of structural steel erection or related construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and shop drawings.
• Experience working safely at heights with fall protection.
• Experience operating aerial lifts.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred (OSHA 30 is a plus).
• Ability to travel extensively to project locations throughout the United States.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install structural steel beams, columns, braces, embeds, and framing.
• Install structural supports and Unistrut systems for electrical infrastructure.
• Read and interpret structural drawings and blueprints.
• Align, level, and secure structural members using common hand and power tools.
• Assemble bolted structural steel connections per engineering specs.
• Verify layout and elevation prior to final installation.
• Assist with rigging and signaling for crane operations when qualified.
• Install anchors and verify torque requirements as specified.
• Use lasers and layout equipment for accurate installation.
• Operate aerial lifts and related equipment safely.
• Perform field modifications and basic fabrication as required.
• Welding when qualified (preferred).
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Follow OSHA and site safety requirements.
• Collaborate with crew to meet production schedules with quality.
