Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks on storage tanks, including using techniques such as stick and flux core welding
• Ensure the structural integrity and safety of storage tanks through proper welding practices
• Interpret blueprints and specifications accurately to execute welding tasks
• Inspect welding work for quality, identifying and addressing defects
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently within deadlines
• Follow safety guidelines to maintain a secure working environment
• Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment, performing routine maintenance

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of welding experience, with storage tank welding preferred
• Certified welder with knowledge of welding techniques and equipment
• Proficient in reading blueprints and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to detect welding defects
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift heavy equipment
• Effective time management skills to meet deadlines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to travel

Starting pay ranges from $30 to $34 per hour, depending on experience and welding test results. Additional benefits include a subsistence allowance of $115 and mileage reimbursement of $0.70 per mile when applicable.
