Role And Responsibilities

As a Traveling Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the planning and execution of advanced electrical projects across the United States. Key responsibilities include building strong client relationships, leading project teams to meet contractual goals, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities Include

  • Managing project financials, including billings, projections, and cash flow accuracy.
  • Supporting the creation of change orders and communicating cost and schedule impacts to clients.
  • Cultivating relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Supervising field teams to ensure compliance with contracts, policies, and agreements.
  • Addressing concerns to maintain morale and meet customer expectations.
  • Completing projects efficiently while upholding quality standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Preparing and maintaining all necessary project documentation, including files, schedules, and billing.
  • Overseeing project planning, purchasing, engineering, subcontracting, and installation processes.
  • Assisting with project cost coding, work breakdown structures (WBS), and estimates.
  • Identifying project risks and collaborating with leadership to address them effectively.
  • Attending regular financial and progress meetings with senior leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications And Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced education is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience as a project manager in the electrical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in electrical construction.
  • Familiarity with strategic planning, resource allocation, and team leadership.
  • Proven ability to set goals, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of contract documents and project scopes.
  • Willingness to train and mentor team members.
  • Flexibility to travel nationwide.

Physical Requirements

  • Combination of office and industrial site environments, with exposure to machinery, noise, and vibration.
  • May require safety equipment, such as hard hats and protective eyewear.
  • Regular sitting with occasional kneeling, reaching, or lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and filing systems.
