Job summary

Capitol Valley Electric on-site in Fresno, CA seeks a Solar Foreman to motivate and manage teams on solar projects including battery energy storage systems. The role involves coordinating planning, communication, and control among internal and external stakeholders to ensure schedule and budget adherence.

The Foreman will supervise subcontractors, handle inspections, layout planning, material orders, and daily reporting. Travel and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in Electrical Sub-contractor supervision
• 5-8 years of experience in Commercial Solar Electrical Work
• Experience managing budget, hours, and crew
• Able to Travel
• OSHA 30
• Knowledge of DAS or SCADA installations. Including but not limited to the installation of a systems weather station and various components
• Ability to interpret the designs’ intent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Moderate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the construction worker agreement of subcontractors, inspection and logistics of large-scale roof and ground mount PV electrical systems.
• Inspection services for solar/PV, electrical and general construction
• Interpret specifications and read blueprints.
• Assist in lay out of work for crew.
• Preplan daily activities and ensure crew productivity to meet job schedule.
• Order and coordinate delivery of necessary materials.
• Comply with all documentation requirements and fill out all project related reports, such as: Daily Reports, Safety Reports, Inspection Reports, 2 & 3 week look ahead schedules, etc.
• Audit safe work practices, ensuring PPE is available and used properly.
• Assist superintendents with training, appraising work performance and addressing concerns of employees in the field.

We are currently seeking a qualified Foreman to help us manage solar projects including battery energy storage systems.

Pay up to $65/hr for private jobs. We also have many prevailing wage jobs.

Job Summary

The Solar Foreman's primary duties will be to help motivate, drive, and manage the team to ensure assigned tasks are completed within the allotted time frame and budget. Additionally, they will be responsible for acting as an administrator and coordinator to provide necessary planning, organization, direction, communication and control between the various internal and external parties that impact the timing and profitability of assigned projects.
