Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Journeyman Electrician for renewable energy projects in Illinois and beyond. You will install photovoltaic electrical systems, perform AC/DC terminations, and read schematics across site locations with 100% travel.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician license or 8,000+ electrical hours.
• 5+ years solar/electrical construction experience.
• Willingness to travel 100% across Midwest with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Install photovoltaic (solar) electrical systems according to drawings and specifications.
• Perform AC and DC terminations and wire management.
• Interpret construction documents, wire schedules, and BOMs.
• Apply current electrical codes and best practices on the job.
• Complete material takeoffs and support tool and equipment procurement.
• Mentor and support apprentices and crew members in the field.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and field records.
• Work with foremen and project managers to meet safety and production goals.
• Communicate effectively with crew, customers, and leadership.
