Job summary

Westmor Industries is seeking a Traveling Technician to service and repair meters, pumps, and other petroleum equipment nationwide. You will start up and service tanker terminal load rack equipment and ethanol skids, install prevention systems, and handle warranty work and inspections.

Travel is approximately 90% overnight on weekdays. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or equivalent, an outstanding driving record, and the ability to obtain hazmat CDL.

Qualifications

• HS Graduate or equivalent; tech/trade school training is a plus.
• Outstanding driving record with respect to observing driving regulations and laws.
• Valid State Driver’s License with ability to obtain a CDL hazmat endorsement upon hire.
• Experience with mechanical repair, troubleshooting, and analytical aptitude.

Responsibilities

Job Description

A Traveling Technician is responsible for completing the following tasks:

• Service, calibrate, commission, troubleshoot and repair a variety of meters, pumps, registers, and other petroleum equipment


• Maintain required performance and maintenance records, and accurate DOT logs/paperwork


• Start up and service tanker truck terminal load rack equipment, ethanol skids, and other petroleum equipment


• Install and repair grounding and overfill prevention systems


• Warranty work, annual inspections, and emergency service work


• Equipment testing to check operation


• 90% overnight weekday travel


• Other duties as assigned

Compensation

• The starting pay range for this position is $22.00 to $28.00 per hour. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location.

• Experience with mechanical repair, troubleshooting, and an analytical aptitude
