Job summary

Ajax Building Company, part of the STO Building Group, seeks a hands-on Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on ground-up detention facilities. You will manage craft and subcontractor teams, ensure safety, and deliver projects on schedule to high client standards.

Initial assignment is in the Orlando, FL area with per diem for travelers. The ideal candidate has 8–10+ years of supervisory construction experience, strong prison project background, and willingness to travel across

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of supervisory experience in the construction field.
• Strong experience as Lead Superintendent on ground-up detention facilities.
• Active/Occupied correctional project experience preferred.
• Ability to travel to project assignments throughout Florida; Southeast travel preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Travel to and work from project locations throughout Florida, with opportunities for assignments across the Southeast.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise on-site functions.
• Supervise craft employees and other contractors as required by the contract.
• Provide technical assistance, interpret drawings, and recommend construction methods and equipment.
• Assist project management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards.
• Ensure on-site personnel comply with project procedures and safety program requirements.
• Promote a safe work environment.
