Job summary

Lithko Contracting is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to join our Travel Team. You will plan and oversee the execution phase of projects, collaborating with the operations team to create the overall project plan and ensure on-site success across commercial and industrial sites.

This role requires five years of progressive field experience, self-performing concrete work, nationwide travel, and a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressive experience in project execution with a large-scale self-performing general contractor or concrete contracting firm.
• Demonstrated experience in self-performing concrete work.
• Diverse portfolio of project types with emphasis on commercial and industrial projects.
• Experience managing projects valued at over $1 million.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and be on-site per rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Develop a project plan for their phase of work.
• Identify obstacles and opportunities for their phase of work.
• Prepare their team to execute using defined planning processes.
• Ensure their team has staged equipment, materials, and workstations for optimal output.
• Utilize and track time sheets, delivery tickets, and sign in & sign out sheets.
• Responsible for ensuring project execution goals are met for their portion of work.
• Communicate project status in a timely and accurate manner to all appropriate parties.

The Role

Requirements and Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• A minimum of five years of progressive experience in project execution with a large-scale self-performing general contractor or concrete contracting firm.
• Demonstrated experience in self-performing concrete work is required.
• Candidates should possess a diverse portfolio of project types, with a particular emphasis on commercial and industrial projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction principles and practices is essential, along with experience managing projects valued at over $1 million.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive successful outcomes for projects.
• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred.
• Candidates must be willing to travel nationwide and be present on-site according to a rotating schedule during project builds, with the ability to accommodate extended stays as necessary.
