Role Summary

The Senior Safety Specialist will coordinate and implement the field safety program for routine and complex construction projects. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, identifying hazardous conditions, writing reports, and performing trend analysis, all in support of JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and implement the safety program for construction sites.
  • Conduct safety inspections and audits, document findings, and recommend abatement measures.
  • Oversee safety orientations, compliance, and safety meetings.
  • Assist in investigating accidents and coordinating with medical providers for injured employees.
  • Monitor safety incentive programs.
Additional Responsibilities for Senior Safety Specialist
  • Handle complex safety hazards involving health and hazardous materials.
  • Provide advanced safety recommendations and guidance.
  • Lead trend analysis and develop training strategies.
  • Support safety leadership during audits and manage complex projects.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of construction safety experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field preferred; relevant experience considered.
  • Valid driver’s license.
