Job description

We are seeking an experienced, self-sufficient Door Access Control Installation Technician to join our team. This is a traveling position requiring frequent overnight and multi-day travel to job sites across various regions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on installer who can work independently, manage their time on-site, and deliver clean, professional installations with minimal supervision. Candidates must have a proven track record of at least five years installing and wiring commercial access control systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The candidate must be proficient and able to demonstrate hands-on experience in all of the following:

• Install magnetic locks (maglocks), including mounting, bracket fabrication, and alignment
• Install and cut in electric door strikes on a variety of frame and door types (hollow metal, wood, aluminum)
• Install and wire up card access readers
• Install and wire up door access control panels
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, riser drawings, and floor plans
• Test, troubleshoot, and verify functionality of all installed hardware prior to sign-off
