Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Safety Manager to support the Project Staff and safety team in executing health standards. Responsibilities include developing safety programs, conducting jobsite inspections, and promoting a zero injury culture.

The ideal candidate will have management experience, a minimum of three years in safety, and OSHA 30-hour accreditation. Strong leadership skills are essential. This is a full-time traveling position.

Qualifications

• Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
• At least 3 years of safety experience or combination of education and experience in building construction.
• Working knowledge of safety/environment principles and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of the project safety program.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings to ensure proper compliance.
• Ensure that each subcontractor designates a trained safety representative.
• Conduct regular daily and weekly jobsite inspections.
• Investigate all incidents and generate proper reports.
