Qualifications

• Minimum 2 yr experience as a safety coordinator in the power line construction industry.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one safety certification (CSHO/CHST/SMS/SSH/CSP) preferred.
• OSHA 30 training required or preferred.
• CUSP certification or OSHA training certification preferred.
• Experience implementing OSH training programs and reporting policies.

Responsibilities

• Advise on provisions to minimize safety risks.
• Conduct on-site safety inspections, observations, investigations, and regulatory compliance for OSHA and DOT.
• Coordinate with Operation teams to create site-specific safety plans and participate in safety meetings.
• Coach and train crews on current HSE practices, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare reports for management on safety observations and incidents.
• Enforce OSH policies including accident reporting processes.
• Coordinate drug screening (DOT and non-DOT).
• Lead accident investigation procedures and follow up corrective actions.
• Maintain records of safety incidents and recommend improvements.
• Organize and conduct OSH training plans.
• Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues.
• Intervene in unsafe activities and ensure attendance compliance.
• Perform essential duties at company-designated site.
