Job summary

MPI is seeking a Retail Superintendent to oversee daily retail construction projects from planning through completion across the Southeast. You will manage on-site activities, coordinate with project managers, subs, and suppliers, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on high-profile retail builds.

The Successful Applicant brings experience leading retail and restaurant ground-up projects, reads technical drawings, communicates effectively with diverse teams, and solves on-site

Qualifications

• Experience managing retail construction projects from start to finish.
• Retail and restaurant construction experience, including ground-up projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and leadership to coordinate diverse teams.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and ensure project success.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate all phases of construction.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards on-site.
• Review and interpret blueprints, drawings and project specifications.
• Monitor quality control and address issues promptly to maintain high standards.
• Conduct regular site meetings to inform stakeholders on progress.
• Prepare and submit reports on project status, schedules and budgets.
• Resolve on-site issues effectively to minimize delays or disruptions.
