Pay Rate: Salary Plan, $65,000.00 USD Annual

Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, compassionate leader to join our culinary team!

Manage the daily operations of a retail environment to create a profitable cafe where hospital staff and families of patients can enjoy a meal. Lead a goal-oriented retail food service department to foster an effective, productive, and rewarding team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the cafe retail area to ensure excellent customer service and support revenue growth.
  • Provide leadership that fosters morale, passion, quality, and respect within the team.
  • Develop and monitor customer satisfaction evaluation processes.
  • Maintain or improve customer satisfaction through effective communication, integrity, and performance.
  • Lead recruiting, training, development, scheduling, and assignment of retail team members.
  • Perform daily inspections, assessments, and coach team members accordingly.
  • Manage and monitor all department sales and costs.

Requirements
  • Associate’s degree minimum; bachelor’s preferred.
  • 5+ years of retail food experience in quick-serve, supermarket, or fine dining.
  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • Experience with cash handling policies and POS systems.
  • Knowledge of hospital food service operations.
  • Computer proficiency including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and ordering platforms.
  • Travel requirement: 10 days traveling with 4 days off; this is a 100% traveling position.
Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency in languages other than English, especially Spanish.
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or willingness to obtain certification within 18 months.
