Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist to support patient care in Charlottesville, VA during this COVID-19 crisis. You will collaborate with physicians, RNs, and other therapists to develop and ensure the patient plan of care.

Contract is 13 weeks (temporary) with 4x12 hour shifts. Pay varies by location and experience, with a very competitive package offered to the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Respiratory Therapist.
• Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommends a treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Performing timely and accurate documentation.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families
