Job summary

Focus Staff in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Traveling Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week assignment. The role requires 48 hours per week on 4x12-hour days, with travel-friendly scheduling and crisis-rate options depending on the facility.

As part of the respiratory care team, you will develop patient plans of care, deliver advanced ventilatory support, document care accurately, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and families to ensure safe, quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Maintain CPR or BCLS certification.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommends a treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Performing timely and accurate documentation.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist to help us to provide quality patient care during this COVID 19 Crisis. As a member of the Respiratory Team, develop and ensure the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, and other therapists.
