Qualifications

Overview

Traveling Registered Dental Assistant/Orthodontics Assistant

Summary: The Registered Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Travel is required to our Children's Choice Dental Care offices in Stockton, Modesto, Antioch, and Vallejo.

Pay Range: $20.77-27.84

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assists the doctor in procedures
  • Operates x-ray equipment and takes x-rays
  • Prophylaxes teeth
  • Instructs patients on oral hygiene
  • Charts and treatment plans with doctor
  • Sterilizes instruments
  • Sets up and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment
  • Takes IO's
  • Charts
  • Applies sealants, if applicable
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish, preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • California Registered Dental Assistant License
  • X-Ray Certification
  • Coronal Polish Certification required
  • Current BLS certification
  • Sealant Certification, preferred
