Overview
Clean Harbors in North Mid-Atlantic is seeking a Territory Class B Driver (Utility Driver) to provide primary route coverage for the assigned district and other districts as needed to support vacation, sick time, and turnover. This position will operate a Class B tanker truck, box trucks, or lube delivery truck and will travel up to three weeks out of the month on average, with one week at the home branch.

Responsibilities
- Ensure health and safety by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and by acting in a safe manner.
- Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed.
- Operate a variety of Class B trucks.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Serve as backup driver to cover routes across the region when needed.
- Ensure customer satisfaction at time of service.
- Properly placard vehicles to meet company and DOT requirements and regulations.
- Maintain daily logs, timesheets, and various reports.
- Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
- Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements.
- Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
- Observe all company environmental, health, and safety operating guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week.
- Engage in site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL.
- Obtain Hazmat and tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
- Ability to use various mobile devices.
- Ability to travel extensively, up to three weeks away from home.
- Perform physical functions required by the job.
- Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical where required.
- Meet facial hair standards required by OSHA's respiratory protection standard (29 CFR 1910.34) for respirator‑using positions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial driver experience.
- Hazmat and tanker endorsement.
- Previous Hazmat experience.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission.
- Previous manual labor experience.
