Traveling QA/QC Inspector – Energy Storage Systems

Job summary

RemoteLeads is seeking a QA/QC professional to conduct inspections, develop ITPs, and manage non-conformances across energy storage projects. You will partner with project managers and subcontractors to uphold quality and safety standards, and lead root cause analyses to prevent recurrence.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering or quality management, strong analytical skills, and willingness to travel 4–6 weeks at a time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in QA/QC, ideally in energy storage, manufacturing, or construction environments.
• Familiarity with Lean and 5S methodologies.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and quality management databases.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and subcontractors.
• Willingness to travel extensively and be away from home for 4-6 weeks at a time.
• Experience supporting battery energy storage systems (BESS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and test plans (ITPs) for equipment installation, commissioning, and milestones.
• Identify, document, and track non-conforming materials or workmanship through corrective actions.
• Prepare, maintain, and oversee turnover documentation, audits, and QA reports.
• Partner with project managers and subcontractors to ensure adherence to standards and safety.
• Perform root cause analysis on quality issues to prevent recurrence.
• Support QA for energy storage products, components, and on-site installations.
• Monitor quality compliance across traveling job sites and maintain detailed records for BESS.
